A: Most studies show no side effects of laser therapy.
Q: How long is a laser therapy treatment?
A: Treatments vary depending on the size and location of the area being treated. Typically, treatment takes from 6 to 12 minutes.
Q: How many treatments will I need?
Q: How long before I feel results?
A: Even though you may not feel improvement, it does not mean that nothing is happening. Each treatment is cumulative, and results are most often felt after 3-4 sessions. However, some patients have reported feeling an improvement in their condition after the first treatment (usually the reduction of pain).
Q: Can laser therapy be used with other types of treatment?
A: Yes, laser therapy is often used with other forms of treatment, including physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, massage, soft tissue mobilization, and electrotherapy. These other forms of therapy are complementary and can be used in conjunction with laser therapy to increase treatment effectiveness.
